Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Iola, Texas. Working plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
As of March 3, 2022, the project was not awarded but will go on re bid in the future date. Scope of Work: 1. MUST notify all utility services, school district, and Post Office before construction. 2. Contractor may close the road to traffic during construction. 3. Remove existing bridge structure. Contractor to load scrap materials and dispose of all scrap, wood, and metal materials in a legal manner. 4. Drill/drive pilings. 5. Install abutments and wingwalls. 6. Install structural steel. 7. Sandblast and coat structure with inorganic zinc paint. 8. Prep and pour reinforced concrete deck 7 in. minimum thickness. 9. Apply two coats of concrete sealant. 10. Restore site to the satisfaction of the Engineer or his representative. 11. Contractor to backfill abutments and wingwalls. County will be responsible for all other road work/restoration associated with the construction. The term of this contract is 60 calendar days from the date of notice to proceed
