Partial roof replacement, approximately 16,502 SF BID SECURITY: Five Percent (5%) required per Bid Instructions PERFORMANCE & PAYMENT BONDS: One Hundred Percent (100%) of contracted amount as stated on the Notice of Intent to Award Contractor has access to the site beginning 6-7-2022 and shall continue through 8-15- 2022. Access to the site will be limited to after school hours and weekends from 8-15-2022 on, for any remaining overdue open punch list items. Substantial Completion: August 5, 2022 Final Completion of all work and punch list: August 15, 2022 First day of Students: August 16, 2022 (tentatively) DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED: Re-roofing one wing of the existing school. Scope includes new insulation and all associated flashing. Alternate to add steel at existing roof access ladders for easier access. Project is ESSER II funded. See attached plans and ALL notes and specifications. Lead times are to be taken into consideration. The scope of the project includes re-roofing the indicated area, with an add / alternate to provide additional rails on the existing roof ladders, and a SF cost on replacement decking (in kind) inclusive of installation. The scope includes removal of all roofing, insulation and sheathing materials down to the existing metal roof decking. Any damaged or deteriorated sections of decking are to be brought to the attention of the AOR and HCS immediately. If it is deemed structurally unsound, those areas are to be replaced in kind. Contractor to anticipate any lead times in obtaining such material (s) so as not to delay the project or leave any portions open to the elements. Demolition is not permitted to begin until ALL materials are on site. Coordinate sequence and schedule of demolition as per the notes on plans.
