The Gadsden County Board of County Commissioners is soliciting bids from an experienced and qualified person, companies, or corporations interested in providing construction services for the following project which include safety upgrades to consist of adding paved shoulders, guardrail improvements, upgrading pavement markings and signage to include rumble strips at edge lines and the centerline, enhancing curve warning signs, upgrading signs at intersections, and adding chevrons where needed. The completion date for this project will be 120 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder. Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $1,694.00 per day. The bidder or their subcontractor shall be prequalified in the following work classes; Flexible Paving, Hot Plant-Mixed Bituminous Course, Pavement Markings, and Roadway Signing. Pre-Bid Meeting Date: NA All Bids shall remain firm for a period of sixty days after the opening. All bidders shall comply with all applicable State and local laws concerning licensing registration and regulation of contractors doing business to the State of Florida. This advertisement is to run 30 days prior to bidding. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bid and to waive any technicalities or irregularities therein. The County further reserves the right to award the agreement to that bidder whose bid best complies with the specifications. Bidders may withdraw their bid by notifying the County in writing at any time prior to the deadline for bid submittal. After the deadline, the bid will constitute an irrevocable offer for a period of sixty (60) days. Once opened, bids become a record of the County and will not be returned to the bidders. EEO/AA
