The intent of this RFP document and the project is to select a contractor to upgrade the existing Town of Ingersoll Council Chambers to create a secure and modern facility to host Council meetings through this RFP document. The project is a design build that may need engineering services and may require an architectural review for the purpose of life safety for public occupancy of the facility for compliance with the Ontario Building Code and other applicable legislation related to this facility use. The first step in the project for the successful contractor prior to the start of construction will be to develop final design drawings for review by the Township's project team to ensure compliance with the project goals. The floor plan design will move the existing Council seating area from one side of the room to another, also required will be the construction of a wall and exit area in the lobby for Council to enter and exit the Chambers. The successful contractor will provide the required trades such as construction, HVAC and electrical as part of their proposal. The project will require new flooring, new lighting, drywall, exit doors and the construction of a new seating area for Council as part of this RFP document. All permits will be the responsibility of the contractor. Each Proposal submitted must include a demonstrated understanding of the scope, project background and particulars of the services required as well as a clear statement as to the actual total price.
