Bids will be in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by University of Utah U Facilities and EOT LLC, hereinafter referred to as "A/E" as defined in the General Conditions.
Scope of Work: Replacement of steam boilers in building 587, with new boilers for the building.. THE UNIVERSITY IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DIFFICULTIES, TECHNICAL OR OTHERWISE, ASSOCIATED WITH THE ELECTRONIC BIDDING PROCESS. BIDDERS WHO CHOOSE TO USE THE ELECTRONIC BIDDING PROCESS DO SO AT THEIR OWN RISK.
Persons or companies bidding on this project shall hold a current Utah Contractor's License covering the type of work to be done and shall be bondable to the amount of the Contract. The University of Utah reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any formality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the University. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following:
1. Demolish and remove the first existing steam boiler shown on the drawings.
2. Install two (2) new housekeeping pads as shown.
3. Epoxy the floor area shown in the first phase of the plans.
4. Install two (2) new steam generators as shown on the drawings.
5. Install two (2) new domestic hot water heater packages (with integral circulation pumps) as shown on the drawings.
6. Install one (1) new glycol heating boiler as shown on the drawings.
7. Install one (1) new heating water boiler as shown on the drawings.
8. Provide four (4) new core drills to the floor below.
9. Install one (1) new blowdown separator with cooler as shown.
10. Install two (2) new domestic hot water thermostatic mixing valves as shown on the drawings.
11. Provide all necessary piping and piping connections as shown.
12. Install all flow meters/btu meters shown.
13. Provide all necessary electrical connections as shown.
14. After the above-mentioned equipment is installed and proven to operate reliably for two (2) weeks including completed controls graphics to this point, demolish and remove the second existing steam boiler shown on the drawings.
15. Extend the existing housekeeping pad as shown on the drawings.
16. Epoxy the floor area shown in the first phase of the plans.
17. Install the second pair (2) of new steam generators as shown on the drawings.
18. Install the second (1) new glycol heating boiler as shown on the drawings.
19. Install the second (1) new heating water boiler as shown on the drawings.
20. Provide all necessary piping and piping connections as shown.
21. Install all flow meters/btu meters shown.
22. Provide all necessary electrical connections as shown
