This is a list of processes and materials required for the removal and replacement of the current Chlorine and Sulphur Dioxide piping system located in the Chlorine building. This list may not be all inclusive and is subject to change. All welds will be in accordance with ASME B31.3 in the severe category 100% NDE test (all welds) using a penetrant test Piping will be 3/4 " Carbon Steel Socket Weld ASTM A106 Grade B Sch 80 carbon steel seamless ASME B36.10 Re-use of the existing Henry Flange connection Pressure test of 350 psi for 10 minutes The number and type of fittings and length of pipe will be discussed at the walk through All piping must be cleaned internally, no hydrocarbons or alcohol may be used Fittings ASTM A105,Class 3000 forged steel socket weld ASME B16.11 Fabrication and testing to be conducted offsite Installation of piping will be done as the system sections are out of service An original Bid Bond, Certified Check, Bank Money Order or Cashiers Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount bid must be submitted with any bid in excess of $100,000. The AIA Document A310 - 2010 bid bond is the preferred format. Facsimiles or copies of the bid bond will not be accepted and your bid will be disqualified if submitted. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, or parts thereof, and to waive any irregularities which do not materially affect the bid document or otherwise conflict with statute or ordinance. Any rejections of bids shall be made only if there is a sound documented reason for same.
