The Blount County Commission will receive sealed bids for annual labor/handyman services and/or general construction/maintenance to county public buildings. The services to be provided will be non-exclusive to the County, will be on an as-needed basis subject to a reasonable notice, will be a 12-month commitment, and subject to the County's service agreement. The anticipated work will include the following non-exhaustive list: a. Interior and exterior trim (metal and wood) b. Framing (metal and wood) c. Drop ceilings d. Painting e. Job site cleaning f. Minor building repairs and maintenance as necessary Responses to this Invitation should be placed in a sealed envelope containing the contractor's bid. Said envelope shall be plainly marked with the Name and Address of the Firm and the Contractor's Alabama License Number along with the following description: "2022 LABOR BID - GENERAL CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE." Any contractor chosen is responsible for supplying all labor and tools necessary to complete the proposed work as needed. Blount County will provide necessary supplies to complete each project. In response to this Bid Invitation, interested Bidders must include the following minimum requirements: a. Detailed list of Contractor qualifications, knowledge, skills, and abilities. b. Hourly rates each category of personnel anticipated to perform services as a result of this invitation and the work as described. (e.g., general construction, general laborer, etc.) c. Proof of liability insurance. In the event of award, the County must be added as additional insured. d. Proof of worker's compensation insurance, if applicable. e. Proof of enrollment in E-verify in compliance with Alabama Act 2011-535 relating to illegal immigration. f. Copy of State Contractors' Board license. General Contractor license preferred, but not mandatory. g. References of past work of a similar nature. The County reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Proposals, to waive any informality in any Bid Proposal, and to accept any one or more Bid Proposals considered advantageous to the County. The County reserves the right to hold Bid Proposals for a period of thirty (30) days after the date of receiving Bid Proposals.
