Renovation of a detention facility in London, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

The MACI Phase Roof Replacement project will include replacement of metal roofing, flashings, fascia, gutter, & downspouts along with roof to wall and metal to flat roof transitions not completed in the MACI Phase 1 Roof Replacement project. Areas of work at MACI include: Zone-A buildings A, B, C, D, E, F and Zone-B building U. The project will require removal of the existing metal roof system, including the roof felt, plywood substrate, The MACI Phase Roof Replacement project will include replacement of metal roofing, flashings, fascia, gutter, & downspouts along with roof to wall and metal to flat roof transitions not completed in the MACI Phase 1 Roof Replacement project. Areas of work at MACI include: Zone-A buildings A, B, C, D, E, F and Zone-B building U. The project will require removal of the existing metal roof system, including the roof felt, plywood substrate, flashings, gutters, and accessories, inclusive of snow guard rails. The heavy gauge steel downspouts are believed to be in satisfactory condition and thus can be re-used. New roofing installations will include metal Z or other appropriate attachment members attached into the existing roof deck. New metal flashings, gutters, brackets and snow guards will be installed. . Also, to be included in the project is the full replacement of the flat roof system at London Correctional OPI Garment factory located on the south west corner of the LOCI compound. The A/E will be required to do on-site investigation to further determine the exact existing roof system, condition thereof, type of fasteners to be utilized, condition of flat roof drains, whether a lightening protection system is needed, and other requirements to meet code regulations for fire classification and wind uplift resistance. This information will then be employed to finalize a developed POR. The investigation may necessitate invasive techniques such as core sampling, pull tests, and/or limited area deconstruction. The A/E may elect to hire a roofing subconsultant, lightening protection consultant, and/or provider of tomographic services, etc. These efforts will be considered additional services. Assume need for permitting at each building where work occurs. Upon award of the Agreement, the A/E shall commence by developing a more detailed Program of Requirements. The selected A/E, as a portion of its required Scope of Services and prior to submitting its proposals, will discuss and clarify with the Owner and/or the Contracting Authority, the cost breakdown of the Architect/Engineer Agreement detailed cost components to address the Owner's project requirements. Participate in the Encouraging Growth, Diversity & Equity (EDGE) Program as required by statute and the Agreement. As required by the Agreement, and as properly authorized, provide the following categories of services Program Verification, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document Preparation, Bid and Award Support, Conformed Documents, Construction Administration, Post-Construction, and Additional Services of all types. Refer to the Ohio Facilities Construction Manual for additional information about the type and extent of services required for each. A copy of the standard Agreement can be obtained at the OFCC website at Portal During the construction period, provide not less than 6 hours (excluding travel time) on-site construction administration services each week, including (1) attendance at progress meetings, (2) a written field report of each site visit, (3) on-sit Submit all questions regarding this RFQ in writing to Procurement at Procurement Portal with the project number included in the subject line (no phone calls please). Questions will be answered and posted to the Opportunities page on the OFCC website at Portal on a regular basis until one week before the response deadline. The name of the party submitting a question will not be included on the Q&A document. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
