The City is seeking applications for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2022-2023 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding from non-profit 501(c)3 organizations who can provide eligible public services, a minor emergency home repair program, and a senior mobile home repair program that are in alignment with the City's 5-year Consolidated Plan. For the FY 2022-2023, the City is anticipating receiving approximately $1,270,000 in CDBG funds to support CDBG eligible activities. Eligible activities for CDBG funding must meet one of the following national objectives: 1) principally benefit low- and moderate-income persons, 2) eliminate slums and blight, or 3) meet an urgent need. All interested applicants are encouraged to apply. The City hereby affirmatively ensures that Minority Business Enterprises and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) will be afforded full opportunity to submit proposals in response to this notice. Individuals and/or entities submitting bids/proposals to the City of Visalia will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or military and veteran status in any consideration leading to the award of contract.
