Renovation of a mixed-use development in Manchester, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

**As of March 14, 2022, This project is already awarded to Carden Construction & General Contracting Inc. with the awarded amount of $59,262.05. This project involves the removal of any carpet and installation of tile in selected rooms. 1. The project involves removing baseboard, preparing floors, supplying materials and installing new Tarkett VCT and baseboard in several rooms throughout the buildings. VCT and Wall Bases productspecifications are attached. Wall base must be 4.5 inches Rubber Wall Base. 2. New Tarkett VCT and new baseboard is to match the newest existing tile and baseboard in both color and style. The tiling contractor will be required to submit a sample of both the VCT and the baseboard to Coffee County School System for approval prior to any work beginning. 3. The project installation can start on Tuesday, May 31, and must be completed by July 12, 2022. 4. The selected rooms are as follows: New Union Elementary - 3, 4 & closet in hallway, 10, 11, 12, 15 remove carpet and install tile in room 10 & 15 and install tile in the three small connected rooms. Coffee County Raider Academy - 301, 302, 303, 304, 305, 306, 307,2 science closets, 309, 310, 311, 312, 313, small storage room, SPED office. 5. The tiling contractor is responsible for daily clean-up and removal of materials / trash generated from the tile installation. 6. School custodians will be responsible for applying wax to the new floors. Contractor will notify custodial staff, as soon as possible, when floors are ready for wax. 7. Interested bidders will need to schedule a time that does not interfere with normal school operation for measurements. Contact Kelvin Shores at 931-723-5150 to schedule a period oftime for measurements. All Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of Tennessee in strict accordance with State regulations. No bid will be opened unless the outside of the sealed envelope containing the bid provides the following information: the name, license number, the date of the license's expiration, and the classification of the contractors applying to the bid for the prime, except when the bid is in an amount less than twenty-fi ve thousand dollars ($25,000). When the bid is less than twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000), the name of the contractor only may appear on the outside of the envelope containing the bid, and upon opening the envelope, if such bid is in excess of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000), the same shall automatically be disqualified. Failure of any bidder to comply therewith shall void such bid and the envelope containing such bid shall not be opened or considered. In the case of joint ventures bids, each party submitting the bid must provide this information. All Bidders shall comply with the Contractors Licensing Act of 1976 and as amended (TCA Title 62). All Bidders shall comply with the Tennessee Contractors' License Law Section 62-6-119 (Bid documents-Required disclosure by bidders) when submitting bids. Bids will not be opened from Bidders who have not obtained the specifications document from the Deputy Director of Coffee County Schools and are not on the bidders list. Bidder awarded the project must deposit security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid prior to beginning the job. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening. All bidders shall adhere to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act enacted in 1964, which states that "No person in the United States shall, on grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance", state of Tennessee funding, and/ or Coffee County funding. It is the policy of Coffee County, Tennessee to ensure compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; 49 CFR, Part 21. No person shall be excluded from participation in, or be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance on the grounds of race, color, sex, disability, age, or national origin. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any or all bids and award bid to other than low bidder.
