Your scope of work should at a minimum include the following: Field Exploration One borehole at each proposed standpipe location (30 feet deep). Standard Penetration Tests at each site. Laboratory Testing Laboratory testing shall be conducted on samples that are representative of each layer of material obtained from the field exploration. Laboratory testing shall include the following Atterberg Limits Tests (liquid limit, plastic limit and plasticity index) Percent Passing #200 Sieve Moisture Contents Unit Weight Determinations Unconfined Compressive Strength Pocket Penetrometer Engineering Analysis, Recommendations, and Report Results of the geotechnical investigation shall be presented in a formal report. The report shall include boring logs and laboratory test results. The report shall also include general site characterization, geotechnical foundation design criteria and earthwork criteria. An electronic copy of the report shall be emailed to our office. Special Considerations Representative from City of Carbon will provide access to the standpipe sites. C. STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS Jacob and Martin is seeking to contract with a competent geotechnical engineering firm, registered to practice in the State of Texas, which has had experience in the following Exploration and testing of earth materials Geotechnical foundation design and earthwork for municipal water storage tank, standpipe, and elevated tank projects TWDB-funded construction projects As such, please provide the following within your proposal: General information about the firm References Experience of the firm and personnel to be assigned responsibility for the project A copy of the proposed services contract proposed by your firm without any fee information Proposed timeline for field explorations and submittal of geotechnical report. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
