Site work for a water / sewer project in San Jose, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project generally involves the work to be done under this contract consists of, in general, but not limited to: CCTV inspection of approximately 12,000 linear feet of 6-, 8-, and 12- inch sanitary sewer pipes, review and submission of the CCTV survey to the engineer for approval, and repair/rehabilitation of all discovered damages and defects. Some segments may require a full removal and replacement, while the remaining segments will be rehabilitated with cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) liner and supplemented with point repairs as necessary. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified check, a cashier's check or a bidder's bond in the sum of not less than 10% of the total maximum contract amount. Checks shall be made payable to the order of the City of San Jose. Bonds shall be executed by a surety possessing a valid certificate of authority issued by the California Department of Insurance and shall name the City of San Jose as beneficiary. All bids must be addressed to the Director of Public Works, City of San Jose, shall bear the Project Number and Name and be in a sealed envelope. The Contractor's Faithful Performance Bond shall be for 100% of the contract amount. The Contractor's Payment Bond shall be for 100% of the contract amount.
