Site work and renovation of an educational facility in Wayne, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.
The Scope of work for the Edelman Fossil Park includes but is not limited to; Exhibit Specialty Environments / Installed in the new Existing Exhibit Rooms. Live Animal Enclosures and all related Life Support Equipment. Scenic and Diorama Environments, Casework, Platforms, Vitrines and other Custom Artifact and Object Mounting Displays Lighting, including Ambient, Theatrical, Special Effects, Case Interior Lighting, Fiber. Optic Lighting, and Low Voltage Lighting, and Providing Staff and support for exhibit lighting aim and focus. Environmental Graphics and Graphic Panels, and Murals. Physical and Hands-On Interactives and Presentations. Acquisition and Integration of All Exhibit Related Audiovisual Hardware and Equipment, and Providing Staff and support to loading of all Media and Audiovisual Programs. Interactive Units, including Flip Books and other similar Interactives. Custom and Purchased Benches and other Furniture, Props, Fixtures and Equipment. Project Coordination and Scheduling with All Project Team Members and Providers. Bids will be made on the proposal form provided, in the manner designated therein and required in the specifications and bid documents. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond for 10 percent (10%) of the total amount bid, but not in excess of $20,000, made payable to the Gloucester County Improvement Authority. Successful bidder will be required to furnish a bond of a surety company, satisfactory to the Authority, in a sum equal to 100% of the total contract price. The Owner reserves the right to schedule additional meetings if it is in the best interest of the project. The Prebid Meeting will be conducted thus: The Construction Manager will provide an Agenda for all attendees. Any questions and answers from attendees will be documented in the Pre-Bid Meeting Minutes and distributed to all bidders via the Addendum. This project shall be bid as a single bid (lump sum all trades). Prospective bidders are advised that the Project is subject to a Project Labor Agreement (PLA). The PLA will be binding upon the successful bidder, and its subcontractors (as applicable). A copy of the PLA is included in the Project Specifications. All bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action), The New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.), and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12101 et. seq.). All bidders are further notified that they must comply with N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 and submit a Disclosure Statement listing interest holders with the bid. In addition all bidders must comply The Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq., and the contractor and all subcontractors must be registered in accordance with the Act. The Owner reserves the right, in accordance with applicable laws, to reject any or all bids, to waive immaterial informalities, deviations, or omissions in any bid or all bids, and to accept such bids and make such awards as may be in accordance with applicable law. Furthermore, as allowed by applicable law, the Owner may request written clarification of any aspect of the proposal where, in the Owners opinion, ambiguities exist. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening of the bids, except as provided for under N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3.
