Questions due FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2022, BY 5:00 PM The County's estimate for this project is from $300,000 to $500,000. Contract duration shall not exceed 160 calendar days *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. After a request by David Timber, Project Manager with the Department of General Services (DGS), the Occupational Health Program (OHP) conducted an asbestos and lead-based paint (LBP) assessment of the former EMS Grantville Facility, located at 6255 Mission Gorge Road, in San Diego. This survey was requested in anticipation of the planned demolition of the building. We also commented on observed items in the building that may contain hazardous materials. Survey results identified the presence of asbestos in the following materials: plaster, joint tape/mud (in drywall systems), linoleum, various colors of floor tile, floor mastics and glues, roof penetration mastic, white door caulking, and stucco. All thermal system insulation (TSI) "hard-pack" is assumed to contain asbestos. Other issues to consider after the structure is demolished includes potential asbestos materials underground, such as cement pipes, that may have been buried underneath the building
