Truman Elementary School - 1 Taft Place, Parlin, NJ 08859 Woodrow Wilson Elementary School - 65 Dane Street, Sayreville, NJ 08872 Samsel Upper Elementary School 298 Ernston Road, Parlin, NJ 08859 Sayreville Middle School 800 Washington Road, Parlin, NJ 08859 Sayreville War Memorial High School 820 Washington Road, Parlin, NJ 08859 The work of this contract consists of the installation of Combined Heat and Power (CHP) equipment at multiple schools including circulation pumps and limited electrical scope. BMS (Building Management System) integration shall be under a separate contract. The Bidder shall take note that this project is part of an Energy Savings Improvement Plan (ESIP) which requires all equipment submitted on this project to meet the minimum energy efficiency of the basis of design products specified In accordance with Drawings and Project Manuals, Commission No. 19K062X, dated JANUARY 20, 2022, together with all work incidental thereto as prepared by the SPIEZLE ARCHITECTURAL GROUP, INC., 1395 Yardville Hamilton Square Road, Suite 2A, Hamilton, New Jersey, 08691. Although customary, the bids will not be available for review at the time of the bid opening. After the bid opening is complete you may make specific requests for copies of the bids or for information pertaining to the bids by emailing Erin Hill, Business Administrator at Erin.Hill@sayrevillek12 .net. Neither the Owner, nor the Architect will as-sume any responsibility for Bids mailed or misdirected in delivery. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days from the opening of the bids. **Due to the current COVID situation, all bidders are required to wear masks and observe a 6-foot social distance from bidders and other occupants while on any school property, including the submission of bids to the Business Office. All bidders must use and complete all bid forms provided in the manner designated and must comply with all requirements contained in the instructions and specifications. Bids shall be placed in a sealed envelope with the name of the project clearly marked on the front of the envelope and accompanied by a bid guaran-tee in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond in the amount of Ten Percent 10% of the bid, but not more than $20,000. No pre-bid conference is scheduled at this time. Due to the special nature of the work involved that can only be seen by an in-depth visitation, bidders are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to visit the project site as an integral and im-portant element of the bidding process so that all bidders have an equal understanding of the scope of work involved. The successful bidder, and their subcontractors of whatever tier, shall become bound by, and signatory to, the requirements included in the Bid Documents as they relate to publicly bid projects receiving federal funding. SINGLE-OVERALL CONTRACT BID Sealed Bid Proposals shall be received as follows: The bidder shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in the following trade(s): C032 HVACR and C047 ELECTRICAL Subcontractors named in the Form of Bid Proposal for Structural Steel, Plumbing, Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning, and/or Electric, who perform any work on the Project must be prequalified prior to the submission of bids, pursuant to the State of New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC). Each bid must be accompanied by proof of Contractor's DPMC classification status. Bidders are required to comply with requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et seq., "The Law Against Discrimina-tion," and affirmative action, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.AC. 17:27-1 et seq. All bidders and their subcontractors shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. All bids must be accompanied by a Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, and a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue for the bidder and all subcontractors (i.e., "named subcontractors") whose prices are included in the Con-tractor's bid. Pursuant to P.L. 2009, c.315 and/or N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 Business Registration of Public Contractors, all bids should include a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue of the Bidder and must include that of all subcontractors i.e., "named sub-contractors", whose prices are included in the Contractor's bid. If not included with the bid, these docu-ments must be submitted prior to award. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informality in the bidding process in accordance with the law, if it is in the best interest of the Owner. The Contract, if awarded, shall be award-ed to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements. No bid shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Owner. NJDOE State Project No.: 4660-060-21-1000, 4660-070-21-1000, 4660-X01-21-1000, 4660-075-21-1000, 4660-120-21-1000, 4660-085-21-1000, 4660-055-21-1000, 4660-050-21-1000 Work on the project site shall commence on the day after the last day of school, tentatively scheduled for June 28, 2022
