Pub Jan. 21, 28, 2022, t2 ADVERTISEMENT TO BID NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Kenosha Water Utility 4401 Green Bay Road Kenosha, WI 53144 Sealed proposals will be received by the Board ofWater Commissioners of the City of Kenosha, Wisconsin, in the office of the Kenosha Water Utility, 4401 Green Bay Road, until 2:00 p.m., local time, February 9, 2022, for furnishing all labor and materials necessary for the construction of: Contract 2022-02-W KWU 2022 Water Main Relay Package #2 26th Avenue - 23rd Street to 24th Street 43rd Avenue - 87th Street to 89th Street 54th Avenue - 54th Court to 58th Street 56th Avenue - 52nd Street to 350' South 755 LF of 12" Water Main; 2,315 LF of 8" Water Main; 105 LF of 6" Water Main all in accordance with specifications on file in the office of Kenosha Water Utility Engineering Services. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately after 2:00 p.m. Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same and must be accompanied by a contract and bid bond, a certified check, or a bank cashier's check, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to the Kenosha Water Utility as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured within fifteen (15) days of the award of contract. Should any bid be rejected, such check will be forthwith returned to the bidder, and should any bid be accepted, such check will be returned upon the timely and proper execution and securing of the contract. In case the successful bidder shall fail toexecute the contract and performance bond, the amount of the bid bond or check shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. There are two options to obtain Plans, Specifications and "Proof of Responsibility": Option 1 Plans and specifications will be furnished upon application, and a non-refundable fee paid to the Kenosha Water Utility of Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) each, for up to three (3) sets of plans/specifications. Prospective bidders may obtain bid documents by mail upon payment of an additional Ten Dollars ($10.00) non-refundable fee to cover the mailing cost. Option 2 The Kenosha Water Utility has begun a partnership with Quest Network. This is a web based initiative that will deliver our construction project advertisements and bid documents to you in a more timely and cost effective way. To obtain an electronic delivery of bid documents go to kenosha.org. Under Departments choose Water Utility. On the left menu bar choose Construction Projects & Specifications. A fee of Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) will be charged for any bid documents you download. The form provided for "Bidder's Proof of Responsibility" shall be completed and returned to the General Manager not less than five (5) calendar days before the date of bid opening. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish Worker's Compensation and Liability Insurance as enumerated in the specifications.
