Demolition, site work, paving, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Polo, Illinois. Completed plans call for the addition of a multi-residential development; for the demolition of a multi-residential development; for the renovation of a multi-residential development; for site work for a multi-residential development; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
SCOPE OF WORK Proposals are desired for a single, lump sum General Construction contract which shall include all work related to the following: Various Locations o Replace smoke/CO detectors. o Replace fire alarm systems o Install security cameras throughout building. o Replace intercom/entry system o Replace stoves o Sidewalk replacement o Central water heating system replacement o Parking lot sealing PRAIRIE STATE APARTMENTS (Polo, Illinois) o Rehab Community Room and porch. o Replace main entry door system o Replace exterior doors HOWARD JOHNSTON PLAZA (Oregon, Illinois) o Replace electric heating in units o Rehab all common areas (halls, stairs, Community Room, etc.). Bids must include a bid guarantee made payable to the Housing Authority. Bid guarantees will be returned within 10 days of official bid opening, if requested, except for three selected qualified bidders. The unsuccessful bidders will have their bid guarantee returned after award of contract, if requested. The successful bidder must be fully insured and provide an assurance as required by Instructions to Bidders. All contractors and subcontractors must be in compliance with: Equal Opportunity Employment, Executive Order 11246 and Davis-Bacon wage rates as determined by the U.S. Department of Labor and adopted by the Housing Authority and as set forth in the Project Manual. Submission of U.S. Department of Labor payroll forms is required on a weekly basis. Contractors and subcontractors will commit themselves to making a good faith effort to meet the 10% goal of employing minorities and 5% goal of employing women. This publicly funded project is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to award the contract to the lowest, responsible, and most responsive bidder and to waive any formalities or irregularities in the bids received. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of the bids without the consent of the Housing Authority. The Housing Authority reserves the right to award a contract in the best interest of the Housing Authority. Furthermore, the Owner encourages Minority Business Enterprises and Women-Owned Businesses to submit a proposal for this project
