The City of Mississauga is looking to hire a Contractor for City Repair for Roadway and Miscellaneous Work. The scope of work includes the maintenance repairs of roads, curbs, sidewalks, driveways, boulevards, City facilities, parking lots, parks, trails and/or pathways, railway crossings, and watercourses, or on an "as required basis", or miscellaneous works as directed by the City's Representative for the 2022 season. The scope of work under the City Repair (Roadway and Miscellaneous Works) Contract includes roadway and miscellaneous works involving the maintenance repairs of roads, curbs, sidewalks, driveways, boulevards, City facilities, parking lots, parks, trails and/or pathways, railway crossings, and watercourses that may vary in size, location and may require repairs and restoration on an "as required basis" as directed by the City's Representative that may be required throughout the City of Mississauga (referred to as the City) during the 2022 season. The Contractor agrees to assign sufficient crews to complete all Work Orders as further described below at SP 18 (Commitment of Work Force), and by the completion date stated in SP 25 (Reinstatement / Restoration Timelines). The Contractor shall carry out emergency and miscellaneous repairs at any time (24 hours a day, 7 days per week for the full duration of the Contract) upon notification from the Corporation. The Contractor shall be allowed twelve (12) hours to organize and mobilize the necessary resources required to respond to the emergency and miscellaneous call-out(s) upon notification from the City. The City anticipates repairs to commence after May 1, 2022 (or once materials are readily available). The City will prepare and issue all Work Orders to the Contractor. The assigned Work Orders may vary in scope, scale, and will require repairs at various locations throughout the City of Mississauga. The Contractor agrees to commence each Work Order issued by the City within twenty (20) working days from the date of issuance, or such other time period as directed by the City The City may establish sequential timing for Work Orders, and the Contractor shall allocate resources to meet the timing for Work Orders identified by the City. It is expected that all Work Orders assigned to a Contractor by the City will be completed by the Contractor within the specified Contract completion date.
