The City of Dunn operates a water and sewer utility that serves citizens within the City and the surrounding service area. The City was recently notified by the Division of Water Infrastructure Authority that the City will receive $30,450,000 from the State Budget to fund eligible drinking water and wastewater projects. The City may also receive an additional $4,080,000 in ARP funding from various Federal disbursements. The scope of services may include; Engineering report, surveying, assist with right of way acquisitions, design, permitting, grant administration services, construction admin, and construction oversight. The City is anticipating that the Division of Water Infrastructure will approve the following as eligible ARP wastewater projects: 1) Construct new effluent pumping station at the Black River WWTP and install new effluent force main to the Cape Fear River. 2) Construct a new sewer outfall line from Machine and Welding pump station to the Black River WWTP. The project will also include increasing the pumping capacity at the Eastside pump station and constructing a force main to the new outfall. This project will also eliminate the need for the Machine and Welding pump station. 3) Any remaining funds may be used for a sanitary sewer system evaluation and/or a collection system rehabilitation project or drinking water project as approved by the Division of Water Infrastructure. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
