Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Completed plans call for the construction of a 7,500-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.
As of February 14, 2022, the project was re schedules to February 15, 2022 at 2:00pm. Judd Hill Farmers Market Bids shall be submitted on the form provided by the Architect, and are to be delivered in a sealed opaque envelope clearly identifying the Project Name, Bidder's name, Bidder's address, and Bidder's current Arkansas Contractor's license number on the front. Bids may be delivered to the Bid opening location, or be mailed or shipped to: Attn: Kyle Cooper, Arkansas State University, P.O. Box 250, State University, AR 72467. Bids not received for opening at Bid time and date listed above will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. Bidder must be properly licensed as a current General Contractor by the State of Arkansas at the time of Bid Opening. Bids will be based on a single lump sum basis for entire project. Construction of a single story building comprised of approximately 7,500 s.f. including classroom space, a demonstration kitchen, office space, retail space, and general building support spaces. Building will be concrete slab on grade, pre-engineered steel building system, standing seam metal roof, fiberglass roof insulation, open-cell spray foam wall insulation, exterior prefinished metal wall panels with masonry veneer wainscot and accents, interior steel stud partitions, suspended acosutical ceilings, fiberglass acoustical insulation, hollow metal doors and frames, aluminum framed windows and entrance stroefronts, and an overhead coiling door. Work includes HVAC, plumbing, and electrical trades. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, Cashiers or Certified Check, in an amount equal to 5% of the Bid submitted, and payable to Arkansas State University, must accompany each Bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into a contract and execute such bonds as may be required. Performance and Payment Bond, equal to the Amount of the Contract, will be required of the bidder awarded the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and waive any formalities in Bids received, not bound by Arkansas statutes. Price alone may not be the determining factor. Award will be based upon those considerations which are in the best interest of the Owner, and will be made to the responsive, responsible Bidder whose bid is judged to be the most effective for the requirements and specifications stated in the Invitation for Bids.
