The Carroll County Office of Procurement, in cooperation with the Bureau of Utilities, is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to provide the labor, material, equipment, and services necessary to construct the Sunset Drive and Lake Circle Drive Water Main project. The project site is located in Eldersburg, Maryland, with work included on Sunset Drive and Lake Circle Drive. The primary aspects of the project include the following:
o Installation of approximately 1080 linear feet (LF) of new 8-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) water main
on Sunset Drive and Lake Circle Drive.
o Trenchless installation of approximately 480 LF of new 10-inch HDPE water main on Sunset Drive
via horizontal directional drill (HDD).
o Three connections to an existing 8-inch cast iron pipe (CIP) water main on Sunset Drive.
o Replacement of existing water house connections (WHC's) up to the existing water meter for house
numbers 2302, 2304, 2305, 2306, 2307, 2308, 2310, and 2312 on Lake Circle Drive and for house
numbers 6695 and 6701 on Sunset Drive. PRE-QUALIFICATION:
Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Carroll County Department of Public Works prior to bid opening. The bidder must be approved for the type of work applicable to the project. The pre-qualification application forms shall be submitted to the Bureau of Engineering a minimum of fifteen (15) days in advance of the bid opening. For this Invitation for Bid, the pre-qualification application submittal deadline date is Tuesday, February 8, 2022.
