Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Liquidated damages in the amount of one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each consecutive calendar day that expires after the time specified for completion and ready for final payment until the work is complete At the time of execution of the Contract, the Vendor, at is sole cost and expense, shall furnish to the City of Fernandina Beach a satisfactory Product Warranty Bond for one hundred (100) percent of the Cost of the fabrication, procurement, and delivery of the fuel tank system The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, to waive irregularities and technicalities, and to request re submission or to re-advertise for the services. The City shall be the sole judge of the submittals. A. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, scaffolding or other structures and incidentals necessary to complete this Contract in its entirety. B. The work includes painting and finishing of exterior exposed 500,000 gallon elevated steel spheroid water storage tank. The omission of minor items in the Schedule of Work shall not relieve the Contractor of his obligation to include such items where they come within the general intent of the Specification as stated herein. C. The following items shall not be painted: 1. Any code-requiring labels, such as Underwriter's Laboratories and Factory Mutual, or any equipment identification, performance rating, name or nomenclature plates. 2. Any moving parts of operating units, mechanical and electrical parts, such as valve and damper operators, linkages, sinkages, sensing devices, motor and fan shafts, unless otherwise indicated. 3. windows, louvers and grating unless otherwise specified herein. 4. Signs and nameplates. 5. Finish hardware. 6. Chain link fence. 7. Piping buried in the ground or embedded in concrete. 8. Concealed surfaces of pipe or crawl space. 9. Nonferrous metals, unless specifically noted otherwise. 10. Electrical switchgear and motor control centers. 11. Stainless steel angles, tubes, pipe, etc. 12. Products with polished chrome, aluminum, nickel or stainless steel finish. 13. Plastic switch plates and receptacle plates. 14. Flexible couplings, lubricated bearing surfaces, insulation and metal and plastic pipe interior. 15. Sprinkler heads. 16. Lifting chain on cranes and hoists 17. Electrical cable, festooned conductor system, cables, collector pole brackets, etc. D. All work shall be done in strict accordance with this Specification, the Design Drawings and the painting package, including manufacturer's printed instructions. The Contractor will obtain, at its own expense, all permits, licenses and inspections and shall comply with all laws, codes, ordinances, rules and regulations promulgated by authorities having jurisdiction which may bear on the Work. This compliance will include Federal Public Law 91-596 more commonly known as the "Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970". SCOPE OF WORK - REFER TO ATTACHMENTS "A" AND "B" FOR FURTHER SCOPE OF WORK DETAILS Option 1: Zinc/Urethane/Fluoropolymer System Surface Preparation: All surfaces in accordance with SSPC SP-1 rinse with a diluted solution of Chlor-Rid to prevent soluble salts from contaminating surface while blast cleaning. Remove all Coatings in accordance with SSPC-SP6/NACE No.3 Commercial Blast Cleaning with a minimum 1.5 mil angular anchor profile. Remove dust and immediately apply primer. Primer: Series 91 H2O Hydro-Zinc applied at 2.5 - 3.5 mils DFT Intermediate Coat 1: Series N69 Epoxoline II applied at 5.0-7.0 DFT Intermediate Coat: 2 Series 1095 Endurashield applied at 2.0-5.0 mils DFT Finish Coat: Tnemec Series 700 Hydroflon 2.0-3.0 mils DFT Logo/Accent: Tnemec Series 700 Hydroflon 2.0-3.0 mils DFT Option 2: Urethane/Fluoropolymer Overcoat System Surface Preparation: All surfaces in accordance with SSPC SP-1 to remove mold and mildew use a solution of 1 part bleach to 3 parts clean water allowed to dwell on surface for a minimum of 15 minutes then rinse thoroughly with a diluted solution of Chlor-Rid in accordance with SSPC-SP12 NACE 5 (LPWC) between 3000-5000 PSI. Prepare loose paint, rust, and localized corrosion spots in accordance with SSPC-SP11 power tool cleaning to bare metal with a surface profile >1 mil. Edges of remaining coating must be feathered to create a smooth transition. Remove dust and immediately apply primer. Areas on the Bell and topside of tank that have had a maintenance coating applied will require a full coat of - Primer Spot /Stripe Coat: Series 135 applied at 6.0-7.0 mils DFT Intermediate Coat: Series 1095 Endurashield applied at 2.0-5.0 mils DFT Finish Coat: Series 700 Hydroflon 2.0-3.0 mils DFT Logo/Accent: 700 2.0-3.0 Hydroflon mils DFT Bid Results : Bid Price Opition One : Five12 Painting & Remodeling, LLC : $ 208,123 Bid Price Opition Two : Five12 Painting & Remodeling, LLC : $ 124,402
