Contractor Responsible for But Not Limited To: o Securing appropriate bonds o Project Management o Stakeout o DOT Encroachment Permit - DOT bond fees o DOT construction signage o Sawcut ends of pavement o Reclaim OR remove existing roadway asphalt o Strip topsoil - may stockpile on site o Provide and install structural fill o Provide and install bankrun gravel 12" thick required o Provide and install process gravel 8" thick required o Grade edges and work site to provide consistent and gradual slopes within work area as marked and defined by the Town of Chaplin o Fine grade and roll o Pave (2) courses of 2" thick Class A asphalt compacted o Provide and install 6" topsoil o Rake, seed, mulch disturbed areas o Install permanent signs o Epoxy Line stripping o Contractor shall allow continued use of North Bear Hill Rd to any vehicles. o If any part of roadway is constricted to one lane, contractor must provide clear, concise advanced warning and traffic control o Although discouraged, contractor may completely close the road for up to (4) four days throughout the duration of the project, either consecutive or separated. o Contractor SHALL provide the Town with 24 hours of notice before such closure(s) in order to provide the Town with adequate time to prepare. Contractors' requirements beyond engineered specifications: o Reclaim OR remove existing asphalt aprons to dry hydrant of fire pond and exit to transfer station o Remove poor or unwanted base material as needed o Install 8" process gravel o Grade area to provide sufficient drainage away from asphalt surfaces o Repave dry hydrant area, repave transfer station apron two (2) feet beyond gate o Pave (2) courses of 2" thick Class A asphalt compacted o Provide and install topsoil to disturbed areas o Rake, seed, and mulch
