All questions shall be submitted in writing via the bidding platform prior to 12:00 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2022. The specific section and page number to which each question refers to is to be indicated. The NBOE reserves the right to award the contract to multiple Bidders under this invitation to bid. MultiAwards to competent companies will ensure the District has sufficient Contractors under contract to perform all the required work in an expeditious manner. Awards will be made based on the lowest estimated total cost bid and in accordance with the terms of these specifications. Liquidated should the Contractor fail to make deliveries and/or services as specified; there will be a deduction from the amount due him/her, in the sum of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per day, for each affected location. Such sum shall be treated as liquidated damages and not as a penalty. The bid security may be in the form of a certified check (designating "Newark Board of Education" as the payee) for ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount, but not in excess of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00) or a bid bond in lieu of a certified check, for the same amount, executed by a surety company licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey. The Newark Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any informality in any proposal and to make the award in the best interest of the Newark Board of Education. Award of contract(s) is subject to availability of funds.
