Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility; for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

This project includes re-roofing a portion of the historic Folded Plate concrete roof structure, access and infrastructure improvements, building roof inspection and maintenance spaces. This project includes but is not limited to demolition of existing roofing, concrete topping, elastomeric coatings, and asbestos containing material. Architecturally this project includes PVC roofing work, metal panel, and roof hatches. Interior work includes gyp board and tile modifications, painting, and work around an existing escalator. Structurally this project includes catwalk modifications, fall protection, cold formed metal framing, metal roof deck, and stair work. Mechanically this project includes duct modifications, moisture sensors, plumbing, smoke evacuation curbs, and fire protection work. Electrically this project includes lightning protection, fiber, and reconnections for various other items. Civil work includes service road reconstruction to accommodate a larger staging area. This project is the first of two or more projects that will re-roof the entire Folded Plate Roof. The goal of the MAC for the utilization of Targeted Group Businesses on this project is 11%. Each bid shall be accompanied by a "Bid Security" in the form of a certified check made payable to the MAC in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, or a surety bond in the same amount, running to the MAC, with the surety company thereon duly authorized to do business in the State of Minnesota. Such Bid Security to be a guarantee that the bidder will not, without the consent of the MAC, withdraw its bid for a period of (70) days after the opening of bids, and, if awarded the Contract, will enter into a contract with the MAC, and in connection therewith, give Payment and Performance Bonds as required by law and on forms furnished to the Contractor by the MAC. In the event the Bidder fails to enter into a Contract, the amount of the certified check will be retained or the bond enforced by the MAC.
