Box 7000 Kingman, Arizona 86402-7000 Mohave County is soliciting bid for a general contractor, appropriately licensed in Arizona, to complete the installation of a 12-inch ductile iron waterline connection to Well No. 4 in the I-40 Industrial Corridor Water System (I-40 ICWS). Well No. 4 of the I-40 ICWS is located west of Interstate 40 in the center of Section 10, T20N, R18W, along Jaguar Road starting just south of Ocotillo Road and terminating at Yucca Drive in Golden Valley, Arizona. All work shall be completed within Ninety (90) calendar days of Notice to Proceed Liquidated damages shall be assessed at $432.89/day. Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a Surety Bond, Cashiers' or certified check or postal money order equal to ten percent (10%) of the Bidder's total bid, made payable to the Mohave County Treasurer as a guarantee that, if the Work is awarded to the Contractor, the Contractor intends to enter into proper Contract and provide the proper Performance and Payment Bonds, and Certificates of Insurance and endorsements, and any other documents or information required of the Bidder which is deemed necessary by the Owner for the Owner to enter into proper Contract with the Bidder as Contractor, for the faithful performance of the Work. Within ten (10) days of Notice of Intent to Award and prior to commencing any construction activities, Contractor shall furnish Owner with an irrevocable security binding Contractor to provide faithful performance of the Agreement in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, payable to Mohave County. Performance security shall be in the form of a performance bond, as required by Arizona law. If Contractor fails to execute the security document as required, Contractor may be found in material default of the Agreement, permitting Owner to terminate this Agreement This specification covers the furnishing of all equipment, materials, and labor for trenching, backfill, warning tape installation, locating wire installation, and all other related work required for the installation of approximately 2,572 linear feet of 12-inch DI Class 350 Water Main pipe along Jaguar Road starting just south of Ocotillo Road and terminating at Yucca Drive, per MAG Sections 601 and 610; as specified herein; and as shown on the construction plans.
The Contractor shall connect the proposed 12-inch DI Class 350 water main to the existing 12-inch valve with a stub at the intersection of Jaguar Road and Yucca Drive where shown on the plans - exact location to be field verified by the Contractor.
