The Purpose of this IPQ#2022-01-24 is to generate a new list of Qualified Contractors to replace UWindsor's current Vendor of Record list of Qualified Contractors that expires in all categories in the 1st Quarter in 2022. Contractors that submitted a response to IPQ #2021-11-04 on December 09, 2021 on MERX, do not need to submit a response to this IPQ. Your submission will be included in the evaluation. The University of Windsor, herein referred to as the "University", intends to solicit pre-qualification proposals from interested General, Electrical, Mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration and fire suppression) and Abatement (asbestos and mold) Contractors with a proven record of successfully completing projects in occupied areas. The intent is to replace the current Vendor of Record list in all categories that will be expiring at the end of the first quarter of the 2022 calendar year. The list generated from this IPQ#2021-11-04 will qualify Contractors to participate in construction projects, renovations, repairs, emergency repairs and equipment installations up to the allotted amount per Project Category. Contractors will be required to complete projects in occupied buildings and some evening/nightshift/weekend work may be required. Contractor disciplines to be Prequalified The University will use a Prequalified List to select Contractors that supply the following services to bid as the Contractor on projects up to $2,500,000 in value: 1. General Contractor 2. Electrical Contractor 3. Mechanical - HVAC 4. Mechanical - Plumbing 5. Mechanical - Refrigeration 6. Mechanical - Fire Suppression 7. Abatement - Asbestos 8. Abatement - Mould Project Categories: Category A - Construction projects up to $100,000 Category B - Construction projects up to $500,000 Category C - Construction projects up to $2,500,000
