lawn maintenance at multiple booster station sites, storage tank sites and well sites. The Bid is for a one-year period with two (2), one-year extension by mutual agreement of owner and successful contractor. All bidders shall submit a fully executed Non-Collusion Affidavit (Attachment C); a Workman's Compensation Act Affidavit (Attachment D) and a Nondiscrimination & Equal-Opportunity Policy, (Attachment F) with their bid. The successful bidder shall ensure that employees at their firm and applicants for employment with their firm are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religious creed, handicap, ancestry, national origin, age, or sex. Additional legal agreements, specifications, information for bidders and proposal forms may be obtained or examined at the BCWSA's office, 1275 Almshouse Road, Warrington, Pennsylvania. Site inspections will be the responsibility of the bidder. No individual site inspections with Authority personnel will be conducted with potential bidders. Bids must be made on the forms furnished by Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority and enclosed within a sealed envelope plainly marked with the words "BCWSA Lawn Maintenance Bid". Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid and payable to the owner. Award of bid, if bid be awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Authority reserves the unqualified right, to reject any and/or all bids, or any portion thereof and to waive any informalities or portions thereof, as deemed in the best interest of the Authority Board. It is the intent of the Authority in making an award, to award the various wells sites, storage tank sites and booster station sites to the lowest responsible bidder or bidders. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond (Attachment F), in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority within ten (10) days of the Authority award. The successful bidder agrees to adhere to the bid specifications and to conclude all lawn maintenance in a timely, good workmanlike manner and in accordance with industry standards. Any problems arising from contractors in ability to conclude the foregoing for whatever reason, shall upon verbal and/or written notification of the Authority, be corrected to the Authority's satisfaction within twenty-four (24) hours. Failure to comply with the foregoing shall at the Authority's discretion, be cause for forfeiture of unit cost or termination of contract. Problems arising from weather related conditions may not be cause of failure, provided successful bidder and Authority mutually agree that weather is causing the problem and weather permitting, the successful bidder shall have attempted to correct the problem in the same timely manner. The successful bidder shall provide all insurance, equipment, materials, supplies, labor and supervision to complete a safe, thorough and good workman like lawn maintenance program.
