The purposeofthis solicitation is to contracton-going service for asphaltservicesto allofthe JEA service territory, where the Contractorwill have to respondto approximately 2,000 work tickets a year, at almost as many locations throughout theJEA service territory. The purpose of this Solicitation is to seek bids fromqualified contractors primarily for the restoration of asphalt in City, County andFDOT roadways,rights-of-way and easements.Compaction anddensitytestingmay be required for completion ofthe work, and this shallbe the Contractor's(also referredto as "Company")responsibility to obtain the services of a materials testinglaboratory approved byJEA to performthe densityand proctortestingas required, per the most currentCity,County andFDOT regulations. Contractorwill performasphalt paving work,to include filling holes, compaction, andasphaltsetting throughoutthe JEA service territory (City of Jacksonville and Duval, Nassau, St. Johns and Clay Counties). The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials, and perform the work in accordance with these specifications and applicable City ofJacksonville,County orFDOT Standards No minimum quantities are guaranteed. It is at JEA's sole option to renew the Agreement for two (2) addition alone (1) year period renewal periods (the "Renewal Term", together with the Initial Term, the "Term"). This Agreement, after the initial year,shall be contingent upon the existence of lawfully appropriated funds for each subsequent year of the Agreement.
