Site work for a water / sewer project in Shiprock, New Mexico. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
To plan, design, and construct a realignment for the main Gadii' ahi/To'koi Community waterline and water extensions to ten (10) homes to residents within the community. The current main waterline crosses several arroyos, in adverse (flash-flooding) weather condition, the waterline breaks two to three times a year. The main waterline will be 14" PVC pipe which will narrow down to 6", 4" and 2 " waterline depending on the location. Phase 1 will include a legal survey, arch clearance, an environmental assessment. Phase 2 will include the plan Gadii' Ahi/To'Koi Chapter will work and coordinate with the Navajo Tribal Utility Authority in completing this project. Navajo Tribal Utility Authority will own and maintain the waterline extension and the Navajo Nation will be the fiscal agent for the project. This project is in included in the New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration's FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
