Rock Springs Chapter will work with Indian Health Services, Navajo Tribal Utility Authority, and Navajo EPA on the planning and design of the new sewer lagoon. The project will be earthen lagoon with a rubberize liner. Phase I will include the ROW, archaeological and environmental studies. Phase II will include the planning and designing of the lagoon and Phase III will include the construction of the Sewer Lagoon to meet the Navajo EPA Codes. The sewer Lagoon will be owned by Rock Springs Chapter. The lagoon will be maintain and operated by Navajo Tribal Utility Authority through an MOU. The fiscal agent will be the Navajo Nation. The size of the sewer lagoon will be determined during the planning phase of the project. The project is included in the 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
