Renovation of an educational facility in San Marcos, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Each Bid shall be accompanied by the security referred to in the contract documents, the non-collusion affidavit, the list of proposed subcontractors, and all additional documentation required by the Information to Bidders. The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder, copies of which are on file and will be made available to any interested party on request at 255 Pico Avenue, Suite 100, San Marcos, California, 92069. Copies of rates so determined are also available portal. All contractors may be required to be prequalified and registered according to the following regulations: State Prequalification (PCC 20111.6), CUPCCAA (PCC Sec 2019), Contractor Registration (SB854). It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under him/her, to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract. Contractors are required by law to be licensed and regulated by the Contractors' State License Board. Required on this Bid: C61 - Limited Specialty Classification & D34 - Prefabricated Equipment Contractor or B - General Building Contractor. Performance and Payment bonds in an amount of not less than one hundred (100%) of the total bid price must be filed for a contract involving an expenditure over $25,000 (Civil Code section 3247 (a)). They may be required for contracts involving smaller expenditures at the option of the District. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, payable to the District as a guarantee that the bidder, if its proposal is accepted, shall promptly execute the Agreement, furnish Payment and Performance Bonds and furnish certificates evidencing that the required insurance is in effect in the amounts outlined in the General Conditions. If failure to enter into the contract and execute the required documents, such bid security will be forfeited. No bidder may withdraw their proposal for sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bids will be awarded as specified in the bid instructions and conditions The Project consists of the demolition and replacement of existing covered walkway deteriorated roof beams. Scope to include the removal and replacement of the tongue and groove sheathing and roofing to accomplish the structural repairs. This Project Includes the Demolition and Replacement of Existing Pitched Roof Trusses for Buildings 4, 5, and 6 as Well as the Demolition and Replacement of Existing Pitched Roof Truss Bracing for the Multi-purpose Building. The Project Also Includes Partial Demolition of Existing Covered Walk Way Tongue and Groove Sheathing to Provide for the Demolition and Replacement of Existing Covered Walkway Beams. Existing Roofing Is to Be Removed and Replaced to Accomplish the Structural Repairs.
