Renovation of a water / sewer project in Midlothian, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Work shall be performed on ONE backwash pump at a time. The water treatment plant must always have at least one backwash pump operational. Perform the following work on one backwash pump at a time; the water treatment plant must always have at least one backwash pump operational. 1. Pull and remove pump for repairs. 2. Motor to be removed and set aside and vertically stored until pump work complete (note: both motors are in very good shape having been just reconditioned). 3. Install a new complete single-stage bowl assembly with specifications of 8650 gpm @ 45 degrees tdh, 125 hp, 880 rpm. 4. Install a new reducing column to connect new bowl assembly to discharge head. 5. Install a new stainless steel line shaft with coupling. 6. Install a new stainless steel motor shaft with applicable hardware. 7. Shot blast existing discharge head to clean surfaces. 8. Rebuild existing stuffing box. 9. Epoxy coat entire pump and motor (color Sherwin Williams SW 7650 Ellie Gray or equivalent). 10.Install repaired pump. 11.Install motor back on pump and set impeller clearance. 12.Ensure pump operation for a minimum of one week. Correct any issues that arise. Perform final touch-up of paint on pump and motor as needed. 13.Once contractor and plant staff are confident pump is fully operational, then repeat process on second backwash pump.
