The Consultant shall assist the Director of Planning, Building, and Resiliency (hereafter Project Manager) in the completion of the HM&FMP with input from the Town's Hazard Mitigation Committee (hereafter Committee), and various other stakeholders. The Town of Barrington, Rhode Island (hereafter Town) is soliciting Proposals from qualified Consultants to develop a Hazard Mitigation & Flood Management Plan (hereafter HM&FMP). The HM&FMP will update the Town's 2017 Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP) and expand the breadth of the update to include more extensive floodplain management planning and analysis in accordance with FEMA Community Rating System (CRS) Activity 510. The HM&FMP must meet the goals, intent, and requirements of each of the following programs: DMA Planning Regulations (44 CFR 201.6) and the CRS Activity 510 Planning Process. The project objective is to submit a Final Draft of the Hazard Mitigation & Flood Management Plan to RIEMA no later than June 6, 2022 and obtain RIEMA/FEMA approval and adoption by the Barrington Town Council prior to the expiration of the existing HMP.
