The Work involves the replacement of the low slope roofs and replacement of the two (2) ventilation units, wall hung heat pumps, rooftop heat pumps, split system heat pumps and a thru-wall (PTAC). Five Percent (5%) required per Bid Instructions, Performance and Payment Bonds: One Hundred Percent (100%) of contracted amount as stated on the Notice of Intent to Award Questions: All questions must be submitted in writing to the District Bid Contact Person by 12:00 pm (noon) on Monday, February 14, 2022 Contractor has access to the site beginning March 2022 and shall continue through September 2022 11969 Spring Break April 9 - 17, 2022 Last Day of School for Students June 3, 2022 Last Day of School for Teachers June 6, 2022 Substantial Completion August 15, 2022 Final Completion September 14, 2022 Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Award will be made to only one bidder. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bid alternates or accept bid alternates in any order or combination. The scope of work requires the Contractor to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to satisfactorily complete the project as detailed in Exhibit A and associated specifications and plans as provided by Horry County School. The project involves the complete removal and disposal of the existing aggregate surfaced Built-Up Roofing assembly down to the surface of the existing roof decks (RAs 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 &7 cementitious wood fiber; RA 2 lightweight gypsum; RAs 8 & 9 metal), metal and bituminous flashings, metal through wall scupper liners, conductor heads and downspouts, metal gutter and downspouts, coping cap, expansion joint flashings, overflow scupper liners and abandoned equipment curbs. The Mechanical and Electrical scope of work includes removing and replacing in-kind an existing rooftop heat pumps, wall hung heat pumps, thru wall heat pumps, split system heat pumps, mini-split packaged VAV units, packaged ventilation air units and fan powered VAV boxes and upgrade control temperature sensors throughout. New electrical disconnects will be provided for each piece of mechanical equipment.
