Demolition, site work and addition to a playground / park / athletic field in Dawsonville, Georgia. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The only bid was rejected and as of now they do not plan to take any further action with this project This is an invitation to submit a bid to Dawson County from qualified vendors for materials and labor to add a single bathroom to the splash pad pavilion at Rock Creek Park. Instructions for preparation and submission of a bid/proposal are contained in this packet. This policy ensures all segments of the business community have access to supplying the goods and services need by Dawson County. Dawson County does not guarantee a minimum/maximum value for this contract. Tentative award date of the contract is April 7, 2022. A five percent (5%) bid bond, a one hundred percent (100%) payment bond, and a one hundred percent (100%) performance bond. All bonds would be payable to Dawson County Board of Commissioners. Instead of requiring any such proof, the County and the Contractor will agree that as liquidated damages for delay (but not as a penalty), the Contractor shall pay to the County One Hundred and 00/100 ($100.00) Dollars for each and every calendar day that expires after agreed upon date of completion. The term of a contract awarded as a result of this IFB shall be from the Notice to Proceed (NTP) date in the NTP letter until final acceptance of project by the County, for a total of 60 days. All questions/comments that may arise from this invitation must be submitted in writing and emailed to the Purchasing Manager at mhawk@dawsoncounty.org no later than February 17, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. All questions and answers will be posted to the County website and the Georgia Procurement Registry no later than February 24, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Answers to question submitted that materially change the conditions and specifications of this invitation will be promulgated to the County website and the Georgia Procurement Registry. The Dawson County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any technicalities or irregularities and to award the bid based on the highest and best interests of Dawson County. The General Contractor must provide all equipment, materials and labor to complete the scope of work; including but, not limited to, block building frame, accessories and miscellaneous materials for complete enclosure, electrical, plumbing, minimal site work and construction of a concrete slab. The General Contractor will ensure that all Georgia Laws, Rules, Regulations and Codes, to include but not limited to, the General Contractor Official Code of Georgia Sections 43-41-1 through 43-41-17, Public Works Official Code of Georgia Title 36, Dawson County Planning and Development, Codes and Regulations, Building and Development Codes and Georgia’s Construction Codes are strictly adhered to where appropriate to the scope of work within this IFB document. This is a turn-key project. Drawings/plans for the project can be located on page 137 of this document. Contractor will be responsible for running utilities to the new bathroom. Distance to the panelboard and water hookup is to be verified during the mandatory pre-bid meeting. The finish schedule legend listed on Drawing A-1 states the colors are to be selected. The Parks/Recreation staff have chosen the colors below for each key. A brand name was not selected; however, the sheen for the Hardie vertical siding shall be either an eggshell or satin. • Floor – Dark Beige • Interior Wall – Light Beige • Partitions – Hunter Green • Ceiling – White • Exterior Wall – Neutral Beige • Exterior Siding – Neutral Beige • Roof – Hunter Green
