Installation of approximately 2,252 tons of SM12.5A Non-Polishing Asphalt in place and 582 tons of SM-12.5AL Limestone Asphalt in place and needed patch nd preparation work for resurfacing of streets. Approximately 16,006 square yards of full milling will also be required on some of the streets. In addition, bidders are requested to include pricing for an Additive Bid Item to replace four stamped crosswalks and an Additive Bid Item to install 485 tons of SM 9.5AL Limestone Asphalt to pave the Town Hall parking lot. All bids must be submitted on official Town bid forms and addressed to Beverly C. Owens, Town Manager. A bid bond will be required. Envelopes must be sealed and marked "BID FOR FY 22 ASPHALT PAVING". The bidder shall also complete and place the following notation on the outside of the envelope containing the bid: Licensed Class___ Virginia Contractor No. _____ Specialty _____. Faxed bids will not be accepted. The Town of Wise reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept bids in whole or in part, to waive informalities if it appears in the best interests of the Town to do so, and to negotiate with the lowest responsive bidder to obtain a contract price within available funds. MBE/WBE/SBE firms are encouraged to submit bids.
