The Project includes the following Work: Installing 121 back flow preventors, 121 pressure regulators, 121 water meters (provided by the contractor, but installed by El Paso Water) and any copper piping necessary involved to connect the new water meter to the existing water line on private property by a master plumber. Water meter is to be coordinated and installed by El Paso Water. Work also includes restoring any property to original condition. Bids are requested for the following Contract: Phase I Vinton Water Meter Connection. Last day for questions is February 11, 2022 at COB. American Iron and Steel Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term iron and steel products means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials. Substantial Completion: Contractorshall pay Owner $ 1200 for each day that expires after the time (as duly adjusted pursuant to the Contract) specified above for Substantial Completion, until the Work is substantially complete. 2. Completion of Remaining Work: After Substantial Completion, if Contractor shall neglect, refuse, orfail to complete the remaining Work within the Contract Times(as duly adjusted pursuant to the Contract) for completion and readinessforfinal payment, Contractorshall pay Owner $ 400 for each day that expires after such time until the Work is completed and ready for final payment.
