The Single Prime Construction Project includes but is not limited to the following Work: Removal of selected areas of an existing natural turf football field, athletic event surfaces, and irrigation equipment. Selected removal of existing utilities, including underground electrical cables, salvage of existing power outlets, removal of small diameter HDPE water service piping, and PVC sanitary piping related to RV sanitary dump stations. 3-foot tall commercial weight chain link fencing, including select removal of existing 6-foot fencing at installation of manually operated sliding cantilever vehicle access gate. Site clearing, topsoil salvage and stockpiling, soil haul and import, mass excavation and subgrade preparation for construction of an aggregate surface RV parking area and fair grounds exhibit area, a synthetic turf football field and asphalt surface running track, and related site improvements and outbuildings. Site utility construction consisting of sanitary sewer piping and manholes, water distribution piping, underground electrical conductors, conduits and related, and storm drainage culverts, and connection of each to existing publicly owned or utility-owned utility mains. Sports field lighting and 20-foot tall plaza exterior lighting. Asphalt pavement and aggregate base of an 8-lane running track. Football field and athletic field equipment. Various aggregate surface paths and drive areas. An Alternate Bid for construction of the aggregate base and drainage system under the synthetic surface track, including import and placement of permeable aggregate base, 1"x12" underdrain grid piping, HDPE stormwater collection piping, and geotextile. An Alternate Bid for an 1,800 SF concession and restroom building constructed of CMU walls and wood truss roof framing with small quantities of various general construction, electrical and mechanical construction. Coordination with Owner-procured construction of the following: Scoreboard and (2) play clocks Bleachers and pressbox Synthetic football field turf surfacing Track and athletic event runway surfacing Substantial completion of 12 October 2022 and final completion of 28 October 2022. Owner anticipates that the Project's total bid price will be approximately $1,600,000. The Project has an expected duration not exceeding 28 October 2022 for final project closeout. All Bids are to be submitted on the basis of cash payment for the Work, on a Bid Form furnished by the Engineer in a securely sealed Bidding envelope prepared as outlined in the Instruction to Bidders contained within the Project Manual. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a Bidder's Bond, payable to Bottineau Public School District, in a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the full amount of the Bid, executed by the Bidder as principal and by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of North Dakota, conditioned that if the principal's Bid be accepted and the contract awarded within ten (10) days after Notice of Award, will execute and effect a Contract in accordance with the terms of his Bid and a Contractor's Bond as required by the laws of the State of North Dakota and the regulations and determinations of Bottineau Public School District, North Dakota. Each bid shall contain a copy of the license or certificate of renewal thereof issued by the Secretary of State enclosed in the required bid bond envelope. All Bidders must be licensed for the highest amount of their Bid, as provided by Section 43-07-05 of the North Dakota Century Code. Cost of preparation of Bids shall be borne by the Bidder. Contracts shall be awarded on the basis of the lowest and best Bid submitted by a responsible and responsive Bidder deemed most favorable to the School District's interest. No Bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the Bid preparation requirements. Any deficient Bid submitted will be returned to the Bidder unopened. Bottineau Public School District reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any informality in any Bid, and to hold all Bids for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of opening Bids.
