The Village reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids. All work under the contract must be completed on or before April 30, 2022. The term of this agreement shall commence and on February 23 2022 and shall not exceed April 30th, 2025 The Village of Minooka is requesting proposals from qualified contractors to replace approximately 500 existing water meters with Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)- compatible water meters that the Village has in its' current inventory. This water meter replacement program will improve data collection and enhance service by connecting the Village's existing AMI system. The more detailed Scopeof Work is described in the following section. The "work" shall consist of the Contractor furnishing all labor, supervision, equipment and materials, and other means of maintenance necessary or proper for performing and completing the Work hereinafter described in these general terms, conditions, instructions, and technical specifications, without limitation. The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work in the manner most consistent with the safety of life and property and to the satisfaction of the representative and in accordance with the specifications. The cost of incidental work described in these specifications, for which there are no specific Items, shall be considered as part of the general cost of doing the Work and shall be included in the prices for the various Items. No additional payment will be made therefore. All work called for in the Specification applicable to this Contract, but not shown in its present form, shall be of like effect as if shown or mentioned. Work not specified, but involved in carrying out the intent or in the complete and proper execution of the Work, is required and shall be performed by the Contractor as though it were specifically delineated or described.. The apparent silence of the Specification as to any detail, or the apparent omission from them of a detailed description concerning any work to be done and material to be furnished, shall be regarded as meaning that only the best general practice is to prevail and that only material and workmanship of the best quality is to be used, and interpretation of these Specifications shall be made upon that basis.
