Renovation of a mixed-use development in Midland, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and playground / park / athletic field.

Contract Scope: District wide renovations to include gym floor refinish, track resurface, flooring, metal panels, soffits, and pool infill throughout the district Project No. 18 0019 05, 2015-024 Summary Project Description: Auxiliary gym floor refinish at Dow and Midland High, track resurface at Dow High, flooring at Jefferson Middle and Midland High, metal panels at Plymouth Middle, exterior soffits at Plymouth, Northeast, & Jefferson, and pool infill at Jefferson Middle Alternatively, Bidder's may, but shall not be obligated to, submit bids electronically via Building Connected. If a Bidder chooses to submit an electronic bid, it assumes any and all risk related to software, connectivity, or any other issues related to the electronic bidding process. It is further recommended, but not required, that any electronic bids be submitted at least two hours before the deadline for bid submission to confirm that the bid has been timely, accurately, and completely received. Accepted Bidders will be required, as a condition precedent to award of Contract, to furnish, satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond and Certificates of Insurance as required in the Project Manual G. Project is subject to state sales and/or use taxes and Bidder is required to include such taxes in its Bid Proposal. H. Project is not subject to prevailing wage rates. I. Barton Malow Builders has been contracted by the Owner in the capacity of Construction Manager for the Project, and shall act as representative of the Owner to the extent required/allowed under its Owner contract All bidders are required to prequalify to the requirements described in Document 002113 - Instructions to Bidders. Bidders must be pre-qualified for this bid package by Barton Malow Builders before document distribution or receipt of bids per the Instructions to Bidders. Barton Malow Builders reserve the right to request qualification forms or additional information from any Bidder before issuing Bidding Documents, receiving Bid Proposals or awarding the Agreement. M. Refer to other bidding requirements described in Document 002113 - Instructions to Bidders and Document 003100 - Available Project Information. N. Bid Proposals shall be on forms furnished by Barton Malow Builders via Building Connected. Bidders shall not withdraw or revoke Bid Proposals for a period of 90 Days after date for receipt of Bid Proposals. Bidders will be required to submit with their Bid Proposals a Bid Security, in the amount of 5% of base bid, by a qualified surety authorized to do business in the state where the Project is located. P. Bidders with an Experience Modification Rate (EMR) greater than 1.0 may not be considered for contract award. Q. The successful bidder will be required to enter into a contract with Midland Public Schools on the AIA Document A132 Standard Form of Agreement between Owner and Contractor, Construction Manager as Adviser, 2009 Edition. R. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers. **Last Day of Questions - 02/09/2022
