Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Douglas, Arizona. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

The anticipated scope of work to be undertaken by the Design-Builder under the design-build contract for this project is to include, among other things: (a) completing the animal shelter project design (pre-design work, preliminary cost estimating, schematic work), (b) working with the City in acquiring all permits and approvals, (c) performing all related lighting, fiber, parking lot, road, sewer, and water line installations, (d) providing quality assurance and quality control for design and construction, and (e) providing overall project management. Vendor failing to supply performance bond as required will forfeit his offer, bond, if any, and the award. Performance bonds shall be furnished within fifteen (15) calendar days of the notification of award; date of U.S. Postmark will be accepted as date of delivery of performance bond. The City reserves the right to reject any offers if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such Offeror fails to satisfy the City that such Offeror is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract and to complete the work contemplated therein. Conditional offers will not be accepted. The right is reserved as the interest of the City may require to reject any and all RFQ submittals and to waive any informality in the RFQ response. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. The new animal shelter must serve the City's current community as well as provide quality animal shelter services for future growth over the next several decades. The successful design-build team will build an innovative animal shelter with at least the following amenities and features: o Lobby/Reception Area o Offices o Restrooms (ADA compliant) o Break Room/Kitchen o Educational/Conference Room o Storage Closets o Maintenance Closet o Sink/Dip-tub/Laundry Facilities o Exam Area o Veterinarian area for spay/neuter/euthanasia o Adoption Floor Area o Quarantine Area o Isolation Area o Enclosed Outdoor Play Area (sectioned for animal play groups) o Vehicle Bay/Garage Area o Outdoor area for Introducing/Walking Dogs o Freezer Area o Generator (to power critical components of the building in the event of a power failure) o Waste Disposal System o Wash In/Wash Out Room o Separate Ventilation Systems for Public Area/Isolation Area/Cat Area o Hose Cleaning System o Epoxy Flooring
