This project received no bids and it is unknown at this time if it will go back out for rebid. This project consists of the boring and jacking of a steel casing beneath the CN Railroad tracks at Williams Street, the insertion of a new ductile iron water main, the use of nonstructural flowable fill in the annular void and the connection of the new water main to the existing water mains on either side of the railroad tracks in the Village of Bellevue. All work is within the Village of Bellevue, Williams Street right-of-way. Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining the construction permit from CN railroad and adhering to all permit requirements including but not limited to monitoring of existing conditions and providing an on-site professional engineer licensed in the State of Michigan during boring and jacking operations. Construction shall include: boring and jacking of 120 linear feet of 36" diameter steel casing; installation of 12-inch ductile iron water main in steel casing; filling of annual void between casing and water main using non-structural flowable fill; connection to existing water main in Williams Street; grouting of existing 6-inch water main beneath railroad; removal and replacement of HMA road surface; clean-up and restoration; monitoring activities as required by CN Railroad; and, all other items necessary and required for a complete and fully operational water main.
