Site work and outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot in Kearny, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a 3,189-square-foot sidewalk / parking lot; and for outdoor lighting for a sidewalk / parking lot.
As of June 20, 2023 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is currently pending the NJDOT review. Bids must be made on the Bid Form in the manner designated herein and required by the Specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes, bearing the name and address of bidder and name of project on the outside addressed to Mayor and Council, Town of Kearny, Hudson County, New Jersey, and must be accompanied by a non-collusion affidavit and a certified check or bid bond for not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid, provided said check need not be more than $20,000.00, nor shall not be less than $500.00, and a consent of surety from a surety company authorized to transact business in the State of New Jersey in a sum equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the amount bid. The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the work as shown on the Drawings and as described in the Specifications. The work consists of the removal of existing improvements as specified and the installation of a bike trail including amenities such as benches, trash receptacles, and lighting. The work is located within Riverbank Park parallel to Passaic Avenue and includes site work and general construction. The work is being administered through state funding, see NJDOT supplemental specifications for DBE/ESBE/SBE requirements. The work shall be completed with 155 calendar days of the Contractor's receipt of written Notice to Proceed. All bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days. The Town of Kearny reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Contractors shall be advised that this project is being funded by the New Jersey Department of Transportation and State Prevailing Wage Rates prevail. Small, Minority and Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to obtain specifications and compete for this project. Drawings, specifications and forms of bids, contract and bond for the proposed work will be on file at the office of the Town Clerk at 402 Kearny Avenue, Kearny, New Jersey, on Monday, October 31, 2022 at 11:00 AM Local Prevailing Time and may be examined at no expense by prospective bidders during business hours. Bidders, upon request, will be furnished with a copy of the specifications and blueprints by the Clerk upon proper notice and a non-refundable payment cost of $75.00 to cover the cost of reproduction. (Checks made payable to: Town of Kearny.)
