The University of North Carolina at Greensboro is seeking a Contractor to replace an existing York-Shipley GasFired Hot Water Boiler and perform installation of subsidiary equipment, at quoted Time and Material rates at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (University) campus GENERAL Furnish, deliver, and provide all necessary labor, rigging equipment, and materials to perform the replacement and installation of an existing York-Shipley Gas-Fired Water Boiler and performing installation of subsidiary equipment located at the Becher Weaver Building on the University campus. The successful Contractor will be capable of providing all labor, material, and equipment to perform the work as follows. This work may include, but is not limited to, removing the existing equipment for disposal by UNCG; installing a new, comparable unit in the existing location; connecting to existing gas supply; installing a new gas regulator and cutoff valve; connecting to two (2) existing supply and return circuits; piping water makeup as needed; installing a new exhaust pipe; and connecting to existing electrical circuits per NC Code. All work shall be performed in full compliance with OSHA standards meeting all national, state, & local codes. Any waste debris generated as a result of the Contractor's work must be removed by the Contractor and properly disposed of in full compliance with all EPA, federal, state, and local guidelines. All work will be scheduled and performed under the direction of University Facilities Operations employees. DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFICATIONS At a minimum the contractor should be able to perform the following: o Remove existing York-Shipley Model SPWC-60-3 and place in parking lot for UNCG to dispose of in accordance with EPA guidelines. o Provide a new, comparable boiler of similar performance, quality and cost. o The new unit should have an input rate of 1800 to 2000 MBTU. o New unit to be set on the existing location. o Connect to existing gas supply. o Install new gas regulator and cutoff valve. o Connect to two (2) existing supply and return circuits (Existing pumps to remain in system). o Pipe water make-up, as needed. o Install new exhaust pipe to meet NC Code. o Connect to existing electrical circuit in accordance with NC Code. o Responses shall include the following: o Bidder must submit Make, Model, and Spec Sheets for the equipment. o Bidder must provide lead time for equipment and installation. o Bidder must provide warranty information Written questions shall be e-mailed to askilar@uncg.edu by February 7 th 2022 at 12:00PM EST.
