LOCATION OF PROJECT Rink Dam Road - Bethlehem Community - Alexander County (final site TBD) DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT Alexander County owns water transmission lines in and around the Bethlehem Community in the southwestern portion of the county. Alexander County recently completed a hydraulic analysis of the Bethlehem water system and based on the results of that analysis has determined that the construction of a multi-column elevated water storage tank would be recommended to bolster the system's fire flow capacities and static line pressures and to allow for future growth in the area. This project, (hereinafter "the Project") shall consist of the design and construction of a 750,000 - 1.0 Million gallon elevated water storage tank, tank fill water main, and booster pump station to serve the tank, as well as other required appurtenances and site improvements. A proposed area for this tank has been identified, but no formal acquisition of land for the new tank has been finalized, therefore the project will also include assistance with final site selection and acquisition. SCOPE OF SERVICES The selected firm will work with the County's project team to provide engineering design and construction administration services for the project as indicated below.
