As of February 21, 2022, the project is anticipated to be awarded on February 25, 2022. Tuscola County will be accepting bids on the installation of a Seamless Padding system at the County Jail located at 420 Court st Caro, MI 48723. The following specifications shall be considered in your bid: o Padding System will be used in a Correctional Mental Health Holding cell. o Contractor is responsible for any need permits. o Contractor shall provide color samples. o Contractor shall follow all Manufactures recommend installation instructions for the product used. o Contractor shall install the systems in one of the Jails Holding cells. Cell is 7x13x9. In addition, has a partition wall, roughly 4x5. o Cell is masonry walls that are painted and has a rubber floor. o Contractor shall prep all areas for the system. Including removing existing floor. If grinding equipment is needed, it shall have a dust collection system. o Core of System shall be a High Impact Rubberized Core. o Top finish shall be integrated to the rubber core. o System shall be Fire-Resistant. o System shall be Moisture and Mildew resistant. o Floor surfaces shall be non-slip. o Finish must be easy to clean. o Contractor shall provide the amount of time needed to complete the project. o System is to provide a minimum of a 1-year warranty. o Contractor shall field verify cell measurements before bidding. o Contractor shall clean up the jobsite each day. o Contractor must be licensed and must provide proof of Workmen Comp and Liability insurance. The County reserves the right to make an award without further discussion of any proposal submitted. Therefore, the proposal should be submitted initially on the most favorable terms which the offer can propose. There will be no best and final offer procedure.
