The Project: Remodel approximately 33,000 sq. ft. of existing library and office space on the third floor of the Harold and Vivian Shapiro Library Building. The Project: Remodel approximately 33,000 sq. ft. of existing library and office space on the third floor of the Harold and Vivian Shapiro Library Building on the University of Michigan's Central Campus in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Major aspects of the work include, but are not limited to: 1. Demolition of existing interior construction as required for new construction. 2. Removal, abatement, and proper disposal of existing asbestos containing materials, lead containing materials, PCB containing materials, and regulated building materials. 3. Construction of new drywall/metal stud walls and partitions. 4. Interior doors and hardware. 5. Architectural finishes 6. Revision of existing HVAC system. 7. New plumbing work, domestic hot and cold water, waste and vent plumbing. 8. Fire protection piping. 9. Electrical lighting and power. 10. Alarm and telecommunications systems.
