Q & A deadline: Feb 07, 2022 3:00:00 PM EST As requested by the Public Transportation and Neighborhood Enhancement Division (hereinafter, the "Division"), the Collier County Board of County Commissioners Procurement Services Division (hereinafter, "County") has issued this Request for Quotes (hereinafter, "RFQ") with the intent of obtaining proposals from interested and qualified vendors in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications stated or attached. The vendor, at a minimum, must achieve the requirements of the Specifications or Scope of Work stated. The purpose of this request is to award to the lowest, qualified and responsive vendor for replacing the carpet floors from offices and stairs at Collier Area Transit (CAT) facilities first floor located at 8300 Radio Road and 3355 East Tamiami Trail, Naples Fl. as specified. Scope of Work is intended to define, but not necessarily limit the work to be performed by Trade Contractor. This work shall include but is not limited to all necessary labor, materials, accessories, equipment, packaging, freight, delivery, permits and all other services required for the full and complete performance of this Contract. The Scope of Work and the Attachments do not necessarily indicate or describe all the work required for the complete and full performance of the work as called for in this scope and attachments. The awardee must provide all the necessary items, tools, hardware, resources, materials, etc. to complete all project tasks fully and properly. All work completed must have a minimum of one-year warranty, following the final acceptance of the project. Any call-back or remediation work will be completed at no charge to Collier County. All work must be performed by properly qualified employees. Credentials may be requested by Collier County. The contract and their subcontractors are required to comply with County Ordinance 2004-52, as amended, background check and fingerprinting. Background checks are valid for five (5) years and the vendor/subcontractor shall be responsible for all associated costs. (Estimated cost $40.00 per person) The awarded contractor will receive a purchase order for work and may not start prior to receiving a Notice to Proceed (NTP). The project shall be complete within 60 days of the NTP. Note that Trade Contractor and Contractor both refer to the Contractor that is awarded this Purchase Order which is also referred to as the Contract. All area measurements all approximate estimations, it is the contractor's responsibility to get proper measurement as the work must include all area to be completed. The contractor shall provide the labor, material and equipment to furnish and install the following items of work. It is a Pre-Requisite of the request for quote that the Contractor visits the jobsite. A specific day has been set up so that all interested contractors visit site at the same time. This will be a grant funded project and Davis Bacon will apply. Contractor is responsible to provide all required documentation in a timely manner and must comply with all grant provisions. The grant provision package attached to this request for quote must be submitted with your quotes to be considered a qualified vendor. The awarded contractor will receive a purchase order for work and may not start prior to receiving a Notice to Proceed (NTP). Collier County reserves the right to select one, or more than one supplier, award on a line item basis, establish a pool for quoting, or other options that represents the best value to the County; however, it is the intent to: Identify a Single Awardee The County reserves the right to issue a formal contract or standard County Purchase Order or utilize the County Purchasing Card for the award of this request for quote. The 17 offices (11 Small Offices and 6 Large Offices), 1 lunch area and 1 staircase needing installation on this request at the CAT Administration building and 1 large room at the CAT Government Center Transfer station divided into carpet tiles and LVT. All rooms are currently being used have existing tile carpet and wood baseboards except for the stairwell that have broadloom carpet. Existing furniture will need to be lifted to allow for the new furniture installed. Furniture is expected to be moved back following the installation of flooring. Existing wood baseboards must be removed and replaced with 4" cove base to match new carpet or LVT floors and transition pieces must be included as well. Contractor shall dispose of old material and provide all new material necessary to cover offices, lunchroom and stairs floor; carpet tiles for offices - Milliken Nordic Stories Isograd- IGD13-119 Esker 50cm (grey) or equivalent, carpet for the stairs - Broadloom and LVT for the lunchroom (grey) - Fortified Foundation 5.0 - Heritage Wood HER145 Legacy (grey) or equivalent. A diagram of the location and office measurements is provided in Exhibit A of this document. Limitations for work time: Work must be performed in sections and in the least amount of time possible to allow normal work operations to continue. The 2 reception offices will need to be done after 6 pm. All work must be coordinated with county project manager. Ensure the chemicals to be used are odorless and non-toxic for the employees. Protection of Adjacent Surfaces: Protect all surfaces not intended to be touched, which are adjacent to, or near the offices where the floor is to be installed. Clean surface after installation to have an acceptable appearance. The purpose of this request is to award to the lowest, qualified and responsive vendor for replacing the carpet floors from offices and stairs at Collier Area Transit (CAT) facilities first floor located at 8300 Radio Road and Intermodal Transfer Station at 3355 East Tamiami Trail, Naples Fl. as specified.
