The NYSDEC Division of Air Resources, Bureau of Air Quality Surveillance (BAQS) is purchasing instrumentation to augment the existing air monitoring network and parts to maintain the existing instruments. BAQS maintains a network of air monitors throughout the state and reports the data to EPA and the public via the DEC website and the EPA AQS system. This monitoring is required be the USEPA via the Clean Air Act. Air quality instrumentation must be maintained and updated to guarantee that the data generated is valid and complete. This requires maintenance and replacement of instruments. This purchase is for instruments to augment the network and includes calibration equipment used for required quality control and quality assurance.
